On the weekend of November 15 and 16, Mexico City held its first edition of HacedoresCDMX
or Mexico Maker City, organized by the Lab for the City, the creative think tank of the Mexico City government. The event, included dozens of project exhibits, workshops and conferences ranging from technology to handicrafts to informality and reuse, showcasing the diversity of Mexican maker culture. International participants included David Cuartielles, co-founder of Arduino, Paola Antonelli, design curator at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, and Emeka Okafor, of Maker Faire Africa. The screening of Maker was one of the highlights of the event, held in a large square in the city center and open to the public. For more pictures, see here.
