Last year, on June 18, President Obama hosted the first-ever White House Maker Faire. Today, in preparation of the one-year anniversary of last year’s Faire, the White House will celebrate a “Week of Making” this summer from June 12-18, with the National Maker Faire as a jump start.
Out of hundreds of applicants, only 100 makers were selected. Among these selected few, we are the only film presenters!
Makers attending the Faire came from 31 different States representing communities across America to celebrate this country's unique diversity. There will also be participation by federal agencies such as Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Education, the National Science Foundation, and NASA!
Although our team couldn't physically make it to the Faire, there will be free screenings during the Maker Faire, as we celebrate a Week of Making! Don't worry, you can still watch Maker online if you can't join the festivities going on this June 12-13!
